Vietnam War is an ambitious, massive open-world single-player first-person shooter developed by Thorium Game Lab. Available in Early Access on Steam, this action-packed historical wargame drops players into a sprawling, 1000-square-kilometer handmade map covering North and South Vietnam, along with large portions of Laos and Cambodia.

Players can fight from the perspective of either the U.S. forces or the Vietcong across hundreds of manually detailed bases and villages. Instead of a traditional linear story, the game focuses on situational, emergent missions where independent friendly and enemy units move dynamically across the battlefield. Combat is highly strategic, requiring you to command your custom squad, navigate dense jungles, clear complex tunnel networks, and manage perimeter defenses. You can also utilize military radios to call in essential tactical support, including heavy artillery, supply drops, and devastating airstrikes.

The sheer scale of the sandbox is backed by an impressive arsenal of infantry weapons and over 50 distinct vehicles. Players can pilot an array of iconic Cold War era military hardware, including Hueys and Cobra gunships, F-4 Phantom jets, B-52 bombers, and M48 Patton tanks. Surviving the harsh elements also means braving local wildlife, avoiding booby traps, and managing stamina.
