Fingered is a bizarre, darkly humorous “whodunit” hyper-casual simulator released in 2015. Developed by independent creator Edmund McMillen (the creative mind behind The Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy) alongside James Id, the game places you in the stressful role of a police investigator tasked with identifying criminals and sending them to the electric chair based on incredibly vague, highly subjective descriptions from unreliable civilian eyewitnesses.

For PC players, the gameplay loop is a fast-paced, high-stakes elimination game wrapped in a minimalist point-and-click interface. In each round, a witness will give you clues about the perpetrator—such as “they looked sketchy” or “they were wearing a hat”—and you must scroll through a lineup of randomly generated, grotesque suspects to find the match. The catching point is that witnesses often lie, misremember, or describe people based on personal biases. One wrong click sends an innocent person to their doom, causing your career to spiral.

Visually, the game features McMillen’s signature, raw, and intentionally ugly hand-drawn art style, accompanied by a chaotic, distorted soundtrack. It runs flawlessly on practically any computer setup, requiring a mere 500 MB of available storage space on your hard drive or solid-state drive (SSD) to play.
