Stuck in the Present is a 3D side-scrolling psychological horror indie game developed by Dusk Wave Arts LLC and published by Embersail Studios. As they navigate the shifting corridors, they are forced to confront hidden traumas and resurfacing painful memories to find a way out.

The gameplay blends exploration, interactive fiction, and puzzle-solving. Players interact closely with environmental clues and objects to decode Faye’s past. A central mechanic involves managing Faye’s intense social anxiety and panic attacks; if the distance between her and Rich grows too wide, danger escalates, adding a layer of tension to the exploration.

The title features a unique art style that merges detailed 2D backdrops with 3D models, accompanied by stellar full voice acting and a highly praised indie-rock soundtrack featuring a blend of English and Filipino tracks. It is a brief narrative experience, taking around one to two hours to complete.
