Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is a massive dual-campaign action-adventure package released in February 2026. Developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA, this release completely rebuilds the 2009 classic Yakuza 3 from the ground up in the modern Dragon Engine while introducing a brand-new standalone prequel experience called Dark Ties.

The dual narrative follows Kazuma Kiryu as he fights to protect his Okinawan orphanage, Morning Glory, from corrupt political land developers. Meanwhile, the Dark Ties expansion follows the complex antagonist Yoshitaka Mine, chronicling his brutal rise to power within the Tojo Clan.

For PC players, the gameplay features incredibly fluid brawling mechanics. Kiryu can swap between the aggressive “Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami” style and the weapons-focused “Ryukyu” style. Mine utilizes a devastating, boxing-centric combat style amplified by a high-intensity “Dark Awakening” mode. Outside of combat, you can manage the orphanage through wholesome minigames, engage in “Ryukyu Gal Gang” team battles, or explore Kamurocho. The Deluxe Edition further enriches the experience with exclusive character outfit packs, customizable mobile phone straps, and legendary BGM tracks.
